Sponge House organizes special cinema events to celebrate the spring

Sponge House will hold special spring events themed on art from April 9 to 22 at its Apgujeong theater in Seoul.

"Cinema by Art Museum" will show a series of films dealing with the life of famous artists. They include “The Factory Girl,” about legendary pop artist Andy Warhol and his muse Edie Sedgwick, “Klimt,” starring John Malkovich, “Travelling with Yoshimoto Nara,” a documentary closely covering the Japanese pop artist’s life, and “Pollack,” portraying the life of influential modern abstract artist Jackson Pollack.

“Art Museum in Cinema” focuses on films with picturesque cinematography. Among the films to be shown for the event are Takeshi Kitano’s “Dolls,” Wim Wenders’ “Don’t Come Knocking,” Pedro Almodovar’s “Volver,” and “You, the Living” by Swedish director Roy Andersson.
