17th Asian Games INCHEON 2014

High-ranking North Korean officials will be attending the closing ceremony of the Incheon Asian Games Saturday evening.

The Ministry of Unification said Saturday that Hwang Pyong-so, the director of the Korean People's Army General Political Bureau, Choe Ryong- hae, a secretary of the North's ruling Workers' Party and Kim Yang-gon, the head of the United Front Department of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea, will attend the ceremony.

The North Korean delegation arrived at the Incheon International Airport in South Korea at around 10:10 a.m. Saturday. Before attending the Asiad closing ceremony, the three North Korean officials are scheduled to have a luncheon with South Korean officials. 

The delegation will leave for North Korea at 10 p.m. shortly after the closing ceremony.

The ministry said Pyongyang informed on Friday morning that it wants to send the delegation to Incheon and Seoul accepted the plan.
