The 2014 Incheon Asian Games took place in Korea for the first time since the Busan Asian Games in 2002. Winning 79 gold, 71 silver and 84 bronze, Korea finished in 2nd place overall. It was Korea’s 5th consecutive year to place second, cementing its status as a sports powerhouse in Asia.



Sixteen days of fierce competition bringing 4.5 billion Asians together in the name of sports and peace finally came to an end with a grand closing ceremony on October 4th. From fencing and shooting to rhythmic gymnastics and even ball sports, there were tremendous moments of tears, joy, passion and fighting spirit filling the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. We’ll take a look back at the greatest moments from the Games that deeply moved not only the Korean people, but also 4.5 billion Asians who all had their eyes on the regional sports celebration.
