A hackathon event will be held early August in the United States to send information about the outside world to North Korean citizens.
Radio Free Asia (RFA) said Saturday the Human Rights Foundation in New York will hold the hackathon to bypass North Korea's information barrier from August 2 to 3 in San Francisco.
The report said about 100 engineers and entrepreneurs will attended the event and work together on methods to reach the North's citizens with information about the outside world. Their plans will be presented, while participants will share ideas during the event.
RFA added four North Korea defectors will be invited to the event to discuss human rights with the participants.
