Korean boy band BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, has posted the best record for South Korean singers on the Billboard 200 chart.
According to Billboard magazine on Monday, BTS’ second full-length album “Wings” placed 26th on the record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums, with 16-thousand units sold in the week ending last Thursday.
The ranking is the highest to be recorded by South Korean singers on the list and the second highest among Asian singers.
With the latest feat, the magazine said that the seven-member group is "the first K-pop act to log three entries on the Billboard 200." The band's EP "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 2" ranked 171st in December 2015 and compilation album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever" came in at 107th in May.
