Investigators Raid Keangnam Enterprises to Prove Destroyed Evidence

Prosecutors have again raided the headquarters of Keangnam Enterprises in Seoul as part of their broadening investigation into suspicions that the deceased head of the company provided illicit funds to politicians.

A team of prosecutors and investigators on Tuesday began searching the headquarters at around 10 a.m. and secured computer hard disks, conference minutes and recorded security camera footage from the parking lot.

It is the prosecution's third raid of the construction firm in two months. The latest raid and search is in lieu of suspicions by the prosecution that Keangnam employees attempted to destroy evidence as some of the company's security camera footage was found to have been deleted. Also, some CCTV cameras were found to be temporarily inactive during the current investigation.
