Average Age of S. Korea's Registered Residents Stands at 41.2

The Ministry of the Interior announced on Thursday that the average age of registered residents in the nation stood at 41-point-two as of the end of March, or four-point-two years older compared to 2008. 
 
The average age of registered residents had stood at 37 in 2008, when related statistics first began to be compiled. The figure entered the 40-range for the first time in 2014 and grew by one-point-two years in three years.
 
Sejong City was found to house the youngest population among the nation’s cities and provinces with its residents' age standing at 36-point-eight on average.
 
Meanwhile, the number of registered residents in the nation was estimated to stand at roughly 51-point-seven million as of the end of March, up one-hundredths of a percent from the end of February.
