Asiana Airlines' Web Site Targeted in Cyberattack

Asiana Airlines have suffered a cyberattack, causing hours of disruption to the customer services of South Korea’s second largest airliner.
According to the Seoul-based airliner, the hacking occurred early Monday morning, blocking customers’ access to the company’s Web site via computers and mobile phones.
Since 4:30 a.m., the company’s website has been covered by an English-written message criticizing Albania. Hackers, identifying themselves with the names “Kuroi'SH and Prosox,” posted a message reading, “I am sorry, Iberia Airlines, but the world needs to understand the crime against humanity, carried out by Albanians pigs touching Serbia.”
The hackers also said “Serbia will not be forgotten.”
Asiana said the company was not directly targeted in the hacking but the external web hosting agency, which manages its domain name system(DNS), was attacked. They added that none of its customer’s personal information has been leaked.
Asiana said although the internet access to its website has almost been normalized, it will take some time before a full recovery is made.
