Mercury Rises above 30 Degrees in Many S. Korean Regions

Many people in South Korea experienced early summer-like weather on Tuesday with the mercury hovering around 30 degrees Celsius across much of the country.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA), the afternoon high peaked at 32-point-seven degrees Celsius in Gunwi County in North Gyeongsang Province, followed by Daegu at 32 degrees and Uiseong in the same province at 31-point-eight degrees.

Miryang in South Gyeongsang Province and Ulsan also saw temperatures climb past 30 degrees, along with most of Gangwon Province.

The KMA says temperatures will return to the seasonal norms on Wednesday as rain is in the forecast.
