Radio Free Asia (RFA) says North Korean college professor will study in Canada beginning in July.
RFA said Tuesday that six North Korean professors who are teaching at Kim Il-sung University or other North Korean universities will stay at the University of British Columbia (UBC) for six months and take classes in subjects including business management and trade.
The report said they will attend a two-month English training program before enrolling in courses in September.
Park Kyung-ae, a UBC professor who is in charge of the program, told the RFA that the North Korean professors will choose the subjects freely according to their majors and interests and take the classes together with UBC students during their stay at the university.
