N. Korea Threatens Attack on Seoul

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has vowed to destroy South Korean government offices in Seoul.

The North’s official Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) on Friday reported Kim as saying the North should “mercilessly” annihilate offices such as Cheong Wa Dae, South Korea’s presidential office. He reportedly made the orders while directing a long-range artillery exercise.

The KCNA said the training was the largest in scale ever, before adding that it involved some 100 artillery pieces.

The agency said that the regime aimed to show its strong intent to retaliate against the South’s recent training that simulated hitting the offices of the North’s most senior officials and its ruling Workers’ Party of Korea’s central committee.
