North Korea's chief delegate for high-level inter-Korean talks has expressed strong discontent over South Korean media reports that the two Koreas discussed the North's denuclearization during the high-level dialogue.
Ri Son-gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, the North’s organization in charge of inter-Korean affairs, lashed out against the reports during the closing meeting of Tuesday's high-level talks.
Ri said that he does not understand why the South Korean media spread the outrageous story, adding North Korea’s advanced weapons, including atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs and intercontinental ballistic missiles, are only aimed at the U.S., not its own brothers.
He also complained over South Korea's announcement that North Korea reopened the sea-border military communication channel in the Yellow Sea on Tuesday, pointing out that it reopened the channel last Wednesday.
