Pyongyang threatened to take out the head of South Korea’s National Intelligence Service for organizing the kidnapping of North Koreans and attempting to undermine the sovereignty of the North.
The spokesman for North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland on Friday claimed Seoul is using its spy agency to conduct activities against North Korea.
The spokesman specifically named Nam Jae-joon, the chief of the intelligence agency, saying he and others will be eliminated for their involvement. The North added anyone who attempts to violate North Korean’s basic rights will have no place to hide.
The North Korean committee said measures will be taken immediately to get rid of the “criminals,” claiming such action is authorized by Pyongyang and international law.
