'N. Korea Holds Drill Against Possible Assassination Attempts on Kim Jong-un'

A Chinese state-run newspaper says that North Korea recently held a massive training exercise to counter possible assassination attempts on its leader, Kim Jong-un.

The Global Times reported that local sources in the North Korean border area with China said that the exercise had been held in Pyongyang on March 15th.

The paper said that the heads of the North’s Ministry of State Security, the People’s Army and all major central state organizations participated in the drill.

According to the sources, this was the first such drill of its kind in North Korea.
