China Begins Investigating Hacking on S. Korea's Nuclear Manager

The Chinese government have launched an investigation into the cyber attacks on South Korea’s state-run manager of nuclear power plants, following Seoul’s request for help.
The joint government investigation team in Seoul investigating the recent cyber terrorism on the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP) said Wednesday that Chinese authorities have begun looking into the matter. It said the cyber security bureau within China’s Ministry of Public Security has been assigned to take charge of the investigation.
The joint government investigation team said the Chinese bureau will try to determine the specific venues where the cyber crime took place and any leads to the whereabouts or identities of the criminals.
The government investigation team said it is also reviewing a plan to dispatch its staff members to China in case Chinese authorities find the crime venues.
Last week, the South Korean government said it discovered the hackers used multiple Internet protocol addresses based in Shenyang, China, when they released the leaked documents of KHNP.
