Asiana Airlines Takeoff Delayed due to Bird Strike

An Asiana Airlines flight heading from Istanbul to Incheon was delayed for more than 13 hours due to collision with a bird.
Asiana and Incheon Airport said flight OZ552 was scheduled to depart the Turkish city at 4:20 p.m. Sunday carrying 178 passengers, but a bird strike prevented it from taking off.
Asiana said it completed maintenance work in 13 hours by bringing parts from a nearby airport.
A total of 156 passengers departed for Incheon by boarding Asiana and other flights while 22 passengers canceled their flights or changed their schedules.
