Over 100 Countries, Int'l Organizations Condemn N. Korea's Nuke Test

More countries and international organizations are issuing statements condemning North Korea’s fifth nuclear test.

A spokesman from South Korea’s Foreign Ministry said that as of Tuesday, 89 countries and 12 international organizations have made statements denouncing the North’s latest nuclear test.

More than half of them adopted the statements a day after the North carried out the test on September ninth, and the number topped 100 in eleven days.

The spokesman said is it notable that the African Union and the Central American Parliament issued opposition to the nuclear test on September 16th and tenth, respectively, as their members include many nations with ties to the communist country.
