S. Korea to Provide $230 Million to Support Refugees

South Korea plans to provide 230 million U.S. dollars over the next three years to help support refugees.

The Foreign Ministry said Minister Yun Byung-se made the announcement at the UN's refugee summit at the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.

Citing South Korea's refugee resettlement program and the legislation of a refugee act, Yun said the nation will continue to improve its policies to assist displaced people.

Yun added that he will attend the Brussels Conference on Afghanistan where he will make another contribution pledge.
