RFA: Anti-Pyongyang Leaflets, Scribbles Found in N. Korea

Radio Free Asia(RFA) reported on Wednesday that leaflets or scribbles criticizing North Korean leader Kim Jong-un were recently discovered in two North Korean regions.

A source in Yanggang Province told RFA that a leaflet suggesting to overthrow Kim was spread in a market in Pochon County in the province on November 20th.

The source said North Korea's Workers’ Party dispatched inspectors to the area to catch those who disseminated the leaflets.

While there is a little idea of who the culprit is, inspectors are said to be comparing the handwriting of all nearby residents with that in the leaflets.

The source said the inspectors have also slapped a travel ban on the residents, adding that it is disrupting their sales of goods brought in from outside the county.

RFA also quoted a source in North Hamgyong Province as saying that a scribble was found on the wall of a building in a market in Chongjin early this month. The source said the scribble called Kim an enemy of the public and demanded his punishment.
