U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has warned North Korea over its nuclear activities, urging the regime to abide by its international obligations.
After wrapping up his visit to South Korea on Tuesday, Pence held an interview with CNN.
He told the news agency that it is time for the North to “behave,” repeating the warning U.S. President Donald Trump made on Monday.
Pence also called on the North to “listen to the world community and to set aside their nuclear ambitions, their ballistic missile ambitions, and be willing to join the family of nations.”
He said, however, the North appears to be taking the message from Washington, adding it is “encouraging.”
He added that the North will continue to get the message not just from the U.S., Japan, and South Korea, but on an increasing basis from China and countries all over the world committing to a denuclearized Korean Peninsula.
