North Korea has criticized U.S. Vice President Mike Pence for his warning to the Pyongyang regime.
The North’s state-run propaganda Web site Uriminzokkiri on Thursday carried an article which called Pence's remarks unreasonable babbling by a warmonger.
While accusing Pence of lacking proper understanding of regional political developments, the agency said that the South Korean acting president and the U.S. vice president had schemed to strengthen sanctions and pressure on North Korea during their recent meeting in Seoul.
This is the first response from North Korea since Pence visited South Korea earlier this week.
In a joint news conference with Hwang after their meeting on Monday, Pence warned Pyongyang not to test the U.S.’ resolve and military strength.
The U.S. vice president visited South Korea for the first time since he took office as part of his tour of the Asian-Pacific region.
