U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said the U.S. is willing to talk with North Korea if the regime suspends its nuclear and missile tests.

“He has to stop any nuclear programs that he has. The United States, we are willing to talk, but not until we see a total stop of the nuclear process and of any tests there.”

The Donald Trump administration had previously said the talks would only be held on the premise of the North's denuclearization after the regime reveals its sincere intetions for the aim.

Haley urged other UN member states to continue to pressure the North and warned that the U.S. will “call out” any country supplying or supporting the regime. She called on countries to choose to either support North Korea, or support the U.S.

Haley also said Washington is discussing possible additional sanctions with Beijing, emphasizing that the two world powers are coordinating with each other regarding the North’s missile provocations.
