Ransomware Hackers' Group Insists They Have Data about N. Korea's Nuke Program

Anchor: An international hacking group claiming responsibility for the recent crippling ransomware cyberattacks across the world say they will soon disclose information related to North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs. They are offering the information to anyone willing to pay them a monthly subscription fee.
Alannah Hill has this report.
Report: “WannaCry” ransomware hackers took the world cyber hostage last week, by infecting numerous computers in around 100 countries with malignant software.
British media outlets said a group of hackers who claim to have carried out the cyberattacks say they have information regarding North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.
Through blog postings, the group called the Shadow Brokers said they have hacked information concerning nuclear and missile programs connected with Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.
They said they can provide such information from the beginning of next month to anyone paying them a monthly membership fee.

Alternatively the hackers said the responsible parties can buy all the data. The group said if this happens they will no longer have any financial incentives and will “go dark” permanently.
Their claims has yet to be verified, however, the hacking group has so far disclosed significant information using hacking tools stolen from the U.S. National Security Agency.
Some have raised speculations that the North was linked with the ransomware cyberattacks and the hacking group.
