Pres. Moon Begins APEC-Related Schedule in Vietnam

President Moon Jae-in has kicked off his official schedule in Vietnam by meeting with members of the APEC Business Advisory Council(ABAC).

Visiting the Southeast Asian country to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) summit, Moon participated in the annual ABAC Dialogue with Leaders in Da Nang, on Friday, where he delivered his views on regional economic integration, inclusive growth and the future of APEC.

Moon said antitrade, protectionist policies are raising uncertainties around the world, and he asked the attendees to promote free trade.

ABAC is a private advisory body set up to exchange opinions between regional political and business leaders on economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific.

Moon also met with its South Korean members, including CJ Korea Express CEO Park Keun-tae, Kumho-Asiana Group’s executive vice president Kim Mi-hyung and SE Lab CEO Oh Seung-jun
