Civic Exchanges Between S. Korea and China Swiftly Normalizing

Economic and cultural exchanges between South Korea and China in the civic sector have resumed in earnest following summit talks between President Moon Jae-in and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Analysts say that events that were postponed due to the bilateral conflict over South Korea's deployment of the THAAD antimissile shield are being resumed, and that ties between the two countries are swiftly normalizing.
According to industry sources, opening ceremonies of South Korean firms, academic forums and the signings of memorandums of understanding are scheduled to take place in major Chinese cities including Beijing and Shanghai starting from the middle of this month.
One diplomatic source said the atmosphere of resuming bilateral exchanges has been created recently and also expected Chinese group travels to South Korea to restart in earnest in the near future.
