Xi Expresses Anticipation for Moon's Upcoming Visit to China

Chinese President Xi Jinping says he is looking forward to his upcoming meeting with President Moon Jae-in in China and hoping their meeting will help chart out a better relationship between the two countries.
According to the South Korean Embassy in China, Xi made the remarks while receiving credentials from South Korean Ambassador to China Noh Young-min at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday.
Xi said that he is anticipating Moon’s scheduled visit to China later this month and an ensuing summit meeting with him.
He said the two leaders will be able to share in-depth opinions about the issues of mutual interests, including the development of the Seoul-Beijing relationship, which he said is in the process of developing. He said he hopes they will reach consensus on many issues.
The Chinese leader also hoped that the new South Korean ambassador will make a significant contribution to the development of the relationship between the two countries, adding the Chinese government will provide all necessary cooperation.
Noh delivered Moon’s will that his state visit to China will be a new starting point for building a strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
