US B-1B Lancer to Fly over Korean Peninsula for Joint Air Drills

U.S. B-1B Lancer strategic bomber aircraft will fly over the Korean Peninsula on Wednesday as part of ongoing joint drills with South Korea.

The South Korean military said the B-1B Lancer from Anderson Air Force Base in Guam will be deployed to Korea to join the Vigilant ACE drills with South Korean fighter jets.

It is unknown how many B-1Bs will be deployed for the joint air bombing exercise.

South Korea and the U.S. kicked off the five-day joint air drills on Monday, mobilizing about 230 warplanes including F-22 Raptor and F-35A stealth fighter jets.
