US Deploys 3 B-2 Stealth Bombers to Guam

It has been confirmed the United States has dispatched three B-2 Spirit stealth bombers to Guam.

The U.S. Pacific Air Forces said Thursday that around 200 airmen and the B-2 Spirits were recently deployed from Whiteman Air Force Base in the state of Missouri to the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.

It said the move is part of the U.S. Strategic Command's regular rotation of bombers through the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

The Pacific Air Forces said it will be a short-term deployment but did not say how long the B-2 Spirits will stay in Guam.

The deployment is viewed by some as a measure to pressure China and North Korea.
