Trump, Macron Agree to Continue Pressure on N. Korea

U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron spoke on Thursday to discuss issues on North Korea and Iran.

The White House said in a statement that the two leaders agreed to continue applying pressure on North Korea until the regime returns to the path of denuclearization.

The French presidential office said that Trump and Macron discussed the North Korean issues, and the French president called the recent inter-Korean talks a "good sign."

Macron also reportedly urged Trump to stick with an international nuclear arms deal made with Iran in 2015, which was designed to ensure Iran brought a halt to activities leading to the development of nuclear arms in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.
