About 630 naval cadets and sailors have left a naval port in Jinhae for midshipmen’s cruise training.

A Daejoyoung destroyer and a logistics support naval vessel carrying the cadets and sailors departed on Thursday.

The naval vessels will sail in the waters of 14 countries, including Singapore, Turkey, Britain, Belgium and the U.S. They will travel 57-thousand kilometers in total.

The sailors plan to visit countries that fought or provided supplies for South Korea in the Korean War and hold events to commemorate the 60 anniversary of the end of the war.

The naval cadets and sailors will return to Jinhae on December 9th.
