N. Korea Says Doesn't Want War But Won't Hide From it Either

North Korea said Wednesday that though it does not want war, it will not, by any means, avoid it either as it claimed that the U.S. is advertising a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula every single day.
The North's state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) said a spokesman for the North's Foreign Ministry revealed such a view when he spoke to one of the agency's reporters.
The spokesperson said that the U.S. is taking a "step-by-step" approach to provoke a war on the Korean Peninsula, pointing out that senior U.S. officials are making belligerent remarks aimed at the North while the U.S. and South Korea are conducting aerial drills of the largest scale yet.
In English, the KCNA quoted the spokesperson as saying that the North does "not wish for a war but shall not hide from it." It went on to say that if the U.S. miscalculates the North's patience and "lights the fuse for a nuclear war," Pyongyang will surely make the U.S. dearly pay the consequences.
The KCNA also quoted the spokesperson as saying that recent remarks from high-ranking U.S. officials critical of Pyongyang have made "an outbreak of war on the Korean Peninsula an established fact." It then warned that "if the U.S. does not want to be burnt to death by the fire it ignites, it would better behave with prudence and caution."
