Moon Calls for Human Resources Exchanges between S. Korea, Japan

President Moon Jae-in has called on the business leaders of South Korea and Japan to take interest in exchanges of young human resources between the two countries.

The South Korean leader made the remark in a congratulatory message sent for the opening ceremony of the 50th Korea-Japan Business Conference in Tokyo on Tuesday.

In the message read by South Korea's Ambassador to Japan Lee Su-hoon, Moon said jobs give hope to young people, noting they are also important for South Korea to overcome its problems with the chronically low birth rate and aging population.

Moon expressed hope the two countries will expand their economic cooperation to make the lives of people in both countries safer and better. He particularly called for cooperation between South Korean and Japanese businesses in the areas of environment and health.
