'S. Korean Air Force Priority Targets Include N. Korean Leadership'

A key South Korean Air Force official says that the elimination of North Korea’s supreme leadership is one of the flying corps' core missions.

In presentation material for a seminar to be hosted by a retired-Air Force officials' organization released on Wednesday, Air Force Col. Yu Jae-mun revealed the priority targets.

The Air Force's strategic planning director said that the Kill Chain preemptive strike system and the Korea Air and Missile Defense(KAMD) battery must be utilized to counter the North’s nuclear and missile threats, and to remove North Korean leaders in a “decapitation operation.”

Yu added that air force assets with pinpoint strike capabilities including stealth fighters must be used in such operations.

Former Air Force Chief of Staff Lee Han-ho also included in his keynote speech to the planned event discussions about deterrent effects of South Korea's preemptive-strike capabilities aimed at the North’s regime and its military leadership.
