President Moon Encourages Maximum Leave at Work

President Moon Jae-in said on Tuesday that he plans to use every day off he gets this year to spread what he describes a culture of rest among public servants.

Presidential Spokesman Park Soo-hyun says Moon asked Cabinet ministers Tuesday to follow his lead and encourage public servants to make the most of their leisure.

The president also suggested holding a public campaign to travel domestically this summer, particularly in rural areas, to make up for a recent decline in visits from China.

South Korea's president gets up to 21 days off work per year.  President Moon's last day off was May 22nd, 12 days after his victory in the May ninth snap election.

Moon plans to spend his summer vacation in a few weeks at his residence in Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province.
