Moon Visits Science Institute in Ulsan to Encourage Start-ups

President Moon Jae-in on Monday visited the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology and discussed ways to boost business start-ups with students there.

He also looked at products made by the students who are receiving start-up support from the institute. Some of their innovations include an air purifier, a smartphone holder for bike riders and a treatment patch for spinal injuries.

President Moon held talks with the student entrepreneurs for about an hour and continued the meeting over lunch during which he listened to difficulties they experienced during the start-up process.

A presidential official told reporters that since the Ulsan institute was converted from a university in 2015, the organization has equipped itself with a more customized and independent curriculum that better caters to educating the gifted.
