S. Korea-India Summit Begins

President Moon Jae-in is holding a summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi as part of his four-day state visit to India.

The two leaders began small-scale summit talks at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Hyderabad House, followed by expanded talks.

Moon and Modi are likely to focus discussions on ways to boost bilateral economic cooperation centered on South Korea’s New Southern Policy and India’s Act East Policy.

In particular, the two sides are expected to share the need to swiftly adopt a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement(CEPA).

The leaders will reveal the results of their summit in a joint press statement.
