The ministry said the hearing will take place on Tuesday at the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province.
At the hearing, senior researcher at the institute, Kim Young-pyo, will discuss plans for the development of Sejong City in South Chungcheong Province. The director of the land ministry’s territorial policy bureau, Park Sang-woo, will also explain the government’s recent revisions to the Sejong development.
The land ministry said the opinions gathered at the hearing will be reflected on a revised bill regarding the project.
Sejong has been a point of contention ever since the government decided to change the focus of the project from an administrative district to a business and science-related development.
