Former opposition parties have criticized ex-President Park Geun-hye for her short statement issued before her entry into the prosecution.
While criticizing the ex-president for the lack of remorse in her comments, Democratic Party Spokeswoman Park Kyung-mi called on prosecutors to completely and impartially investigate all suspicions surrounding Park.
People’s Party Floor Leader Joo Seung-yong also criticized Park saying that she disrespected and ignored the people with the brief comment, and called for a swift and unsparing investigation.
While finding the fourth summons of a former South Korean president "very unfortunate," Bareun Party Floor Leader Joo Ho-young also urged Park to reveal all truth before the prosecution.
The Liberty Korea Party’s Floor Leader Chung Woo-taik called for a thorough investigation and asked the prosecution to keep the spirit of national unity in mind to provide due respect in interrogating the former president from his own conservative party.
