South Korea is building a welfare center in Addis Ababa for Ethiopian veterans of the Korean War.
The Defense Ministry on Friday revealed the plan as South Korean and Ethiopian officials met in Addis Ababa to sign the agreement to build the facility.
Ethiopia is the only African country that dispatched ground troops to help South Korea combat invading North Korea in the 1950 to 1953 war.
More than three-thousand-500 Ethiopian soldiers were dispatched to Korea and around 650 of them were killed or wounded in action.
The agreement is one of Seoul's friendship projects for the people of Ethiopia.
