“Milyang,” the film starring Jeon Do-yeon (“Lovers in Prague”) and Song Gang-ho (“The Host”), is being well-received abroad.
The film has been invited to the 60th Cannes International Film Festival and is creating a buzz even prior to its formal screening on the 24th.
Various international movie sites in France and Greece have been lauding the film, building expectations of possible awards at Cannes. A movie critic from France’s commeaucinema.com praised the film, giving it 4 stars out of 4.
Director Lee Chang-dong previously won the Best Director prize at the Venice International Film Festival in 2002 for “Oasis.”
