Hangeul is the name of the Korean language.
It was created by King Sejong, the 4th ruler of the Joseon Dynasty in the year 1443.
Hangeul consists of ten vowels and fourteen consonants.

Like any other language, a combination of vowels and consonants makes up a syllable, and it is written in the left to right and up to down directional style .
