What helps me learn korean culture

2018-11-27

Emma

Dear Sir/Madam,

my name is Emma and I have lived in the Netherlands since the day I was born. Two years ago I became curious about korean culture after noticing distinct differences between dutch and korean culture in content such as idol group's live streams and television programs that my favorite celebrities at that time guest starred in. I'd like to officially thank KBS' broadcasting system for helping me learn more about Korea, specifically the relationship between korean people.

Recently I've been watching old episodes of 1박2일 (from around 2014) and aside from enjoying every single episode I've seen, in particular the non-smoking episode, I've obtained loads of information that I couldn't have gained from any other programme I've seen before. Food, music, history, nature, family, friends, relationships, you name it. Everything that I feel is somewhat essential to know for learning more about korean culture, is in this programme.

For the future, I can't wait to watch more of the show and learn whilst also having a laugh. Thanks, KBS' team for making me laugh, especially the production team since they make the member's weekends as difficult as possible.

Yours faithfully,

Emma van Kampen
