571 years ago, King Sejong created Hunminjeongeum. At a time when China-centered views of the world were dominant, the creation of Hunminjeongeum marked a siginficant chapter in alphabet history not only in Korea but also in the world. Often, the value of Hangeul is forgotten as Koreans have become so accustomed to it like breathing air. The 2.5 km-long begins from the Statue of King Sejong in Gwanghwamun Square. The street holds the big dream that King Sejong had for his people and the noble value he had toward human dignity.
