One of the first heavy metal and hard rock musicians in Korea, Kim Jong Seo is often touted as a frontier who helped bring rock music to the mainstream in the country. He debuted in 1985 as a member of the band Boohwal, and he went through various other famous Korean rock bands including Sinawe before going solo in 1992. With 9 studio albums and numerous other releases under his belt, he remains one of the most beloved rock musicians in Korea to this day.
