One of Korea's most beloved musical icons of the 1980s, Kim Hyun Sik made his debut in 1980 along with his band 봄여름가을겨울 (SSaW). The talented singer-songwriter released 5 albums until 1990, when he passed away at the age of 32. His 6th and the last album was released posthumously containing one of his best known songs, 내 사랑 내 곁에 (My Love By My Side). Although often remembered for his unique, emotional and husky voice, it should be noted that the voice we hear on his 6th record was recorded while he was batteling cirrhosis, the illness that took his life.
