Jo Sung Mo debuted as a pop ballad singer in 1998 with the album [To Heaven], starting a trend of film-like music videos in the K-pop scene. He went on to become one of the top solo acts of the late 90's and early 2000s, with several of his albums making onto the list of all-time best-selling albums in South Korea.
