Girl group JQT is planning out their venture at tackling the US music market.
Earlier this month on June 2nd, the girls of JQT met with world renowned producer Melvin Brown at the prestigious Capital Records, affiliate of EMI Music company. The two sides discussed how to have the girls break into the biggest music market in the world. One of the plans? To tour with popular hip hop artist Akon sometime during the latter half of this year.
After hearing the title track "Peekaboo" off of JQT's third album, Capital Records got in contact with the group. JQT's reps even divulged that Capital Records made a staggering offer to sign the girls.
Just to give an idea of how big Capital Records is, the company churchs out records for the Beatles, Snoop Dog, and the Beach Boys just to name a few. As for Melvin Brown, he's even produced for the pop icon Lady Gaga. JQT is meeting with not only Brown, but other big names and record label companies in the music business.
The head producers for their first release will be Ray & Renny who have been known to work with Akon, T-Pain, Lady Gaga, Mario Wynans, and Aaron Carter. On a related note, Ray & Renny along with Brown came to Korea last May 7th to help out with the girls' recording sessions and hold a press conference.
The girls will go through with their recordings in both the US and Korea with plans to release their first single in the US -- as well as worldwide -- by this December. Hopefully, their first album will be complete and ready for distribution by January.
