It’s been quite a week for global K-pop superstars BTS.

The septet won the Favorite Social Artist award at the 2018 AMAs in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening, becoming the first South Korean act ever to win an award at the ceremony.

BTS beat out some of big names in the music industry such as Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Shawn Mendes.

The boy band, who are currently in Europe as part of a world tour, accepted the award through a video message, expressing thanks for the honor and support from their fans known as the Army.

A day later, TIME magazine revealed that BTS will be on the front cover of the U.S. weekly’s October 22nd edition with an article titled "How BTS Is Taking Over the World." The U.S. magazine also added BTS to its Next Generation Leaders list.

Rounding off an already successful week, on Thursday South Korea’s presidential office confirmed that BTS will perform at a special concert in Paris on Sunday which will be attended by President Moon Jae-in.

Some 400 people will attend the bilateral friendship concert in Paris, including around 200 French officials and artists, a hundred preselected French fans of Korean pop music, and 20 or so students majoring in Korean studies from seven universities in Paris.
