President Moon Jae-in said on Friday that he will work with the people to ensure they return to their normal lives in the new year after overcoming COVID-19.

In a Facebook message posted on New Year's Day, the president said that the nation will certainly get normal life back with the power of coexistence in the new year.

Moon pledged to walk together with the people until the lives of all people are free from the coronavirus.

He also thanked the people for exercising the spirit of coexistence in the fight against the unprecedented pandemic.

The president vowed to make sure the nation returns to normal life to repay those who lost their loved ones, those now struggling with the disease, and others who have fought the virus on the front lines.
