어때요 (what about)

별 말 – an unexpected and/or eccentric saying, a saying that is not needed

Casual – 어때?

Semi-polite/polite – 어때요?

>>[어때요] is usually used to ask someone’s opinion about something. The object, opinion etc. that the speaker wants to ask the opinion about usually comes before [어때요]. 

>>For example, “어제 새로 산 옷인데 어때?” is asking the hearer’s opinion about the new outfit that the speaker bought yesterday. It can be interpreted as “What do you think about this new outfit? I bought it yesterday.”
